Hi guys and gals just wondering if TMC hires new students that are under 23. I am 21 and will be 22 in mid april. I did try to give them a call, however nobody seemed to pickup. I have my doub/trips, hazmat, tanker, and all that jazz squared away. Also I have no felonies, tickets, citations, etc. I would say im pretty much on the straight and narrow. I do not drink or smoke either. Anyways answer away thanks :biggrin_25514:

Does it say anything about it on their website? Some companies have that policy because of their insurance carrier. Lower rates if they have a minimum age of 23 or 25.

I read somewhere on here that TMC just dropped it to 21 from 23.

23 is mandatory before 24 and after 22:biggrin_25521:

I'm sorry I couldn't help it:biggrin_25523: check the web site or call one their headhunters they will tell ya and then you actually might get a good idea of what kinda company they are. When I left Celadon I spoke with Barr-Nunn and how the recruiter said his schpeel made me decide not to go there. He couldn't tell me enough times how "great" they were and how many miles I would get and how HAPPY ALL the drivers were, and I'd really regret going somewhere else. He was WAY TOO enthusiastic, acting like he'd just got a big fish on the line. It was a big stop sign for me

LOL Thats awesome! When I talked to TMC the recruiter was not all hyped up and crazy sounding he was just relaxed and was just telling me the deal about the company. He was very nice and knew the answers to any of the questions. I have not decided for sure on anywhere but TMC is one of my top 2

When you talk to him again make sure you ask him what the impact of the "merger/take over" by I think ATS. Also ask him to explain the truck wash/cleaning policy to you. They used to be VERY strict about appearance of the truck and the driver, their old nickname Too Much Chrome. The drivers used to get paid to keep the truck polished etc etc.....:biggrin_25525:

I have no problem with the cleaning of the truck and all that stuff. I use to do it to my company Prime truck. It would get a bath every week and I would spend the time to polish the rims. It may not be mine but I still like what I am driving to look good.
