Thanks a lot for the input! The job market down here in general is disgraceful. I just moved here from Long Island NY a couple of months ago, and if I knew it was going to be this bad I wouldve never came. Im working at walmart right now making $200 a week. Its rough.

Does anyone have an idea of what the Long Island, NY trucking job industry is like? Ive been considering going back lately. Thanks again.

Amen, and I remember when I was 23 and driving a truck. I was an total ARSE! When I started buying trucks and hiring drivers, the youngest guy I ever hired was 28, my loan gal was around 38.

I would not have trusted a 23 yo in any of my trucks.

    But that is just me.

Stay at walmart and look for part time work, or better yet, GO TO SCHOOL! You will be lucky to make the same money you are making right now OTR after you eat. Trust me on that. You are young enough, don't waste your life out here. I used to be a surgical nurse, an ugly divorce and 20 years later here I am. Go to school!
