My miles used to be 2800-3000 a week, about now I'd be happy with 1800 :biggrin_25512: and thats in a 62 mph truck. The economy just sucks right now, noone has any miles. I get a 2-3 day run, then sit for 2-3 days waiting for another one. Hope things get better but theres no reason to believe it will anytime in the near future. BOL

My wife and I run team for Eastern Freightways of North Brunswick Nj. Last year we were averaging about 5400 miles in 6 days. This year we are down to around 3500 miles in 6 days.

I have complained to EFW's management and they have responded with a different dedicated run serving our parent company NEMF. Once we actually get into the swing of things we should be close to 5000 miles in a week with 2 days off each week. So far I think we are running 10 to 15% less ytd as compared to last year at the same time.

Luckily my boss does business with a company that ramps up when the economy is bad. So when things are going well, he does well. When things are going poorly, he does better.

I got 2450 this week and off for the weekend. Not too bad.

Last week was about the same, about 2200 and home early.

No, that's not great miles by OTR standards. But I'm not OTR ;)

Now that I'm no longer OTR, I am running 600 or so a day, I no longer get paid by the mile though lol.

I would have stayed OTR if the miles were as good as I get in NE Texas and Oklahoma.

Friends of mine who still drive OTR are hurting pretty bad right now and there are not a lot of options.

Good luck with that, I'm local and hourly and I haven't worked 40 or more hours in 3 weeks and it's been almost 2 months since I've had a out of town commission run. I'm considering going OTR.

I'm local and get paid salary. I run on average 500 mi a day. That is how They save (make) money. I would make more paid by the mile. Another thing my company is doing is tightening up the rules. It's a lot easier to loose your job here :biggrin_25511:

Last year I turned 26,354 miles during Jan and Feb. This year the two month total was 19,054. Many of us are fighting for miles.
