you would probably be better off staying right where you're at for now.You go somewhere else you lose benifits and start at the bottom of the barrel again...i'm a team driver i was getting 6,000 or more a week and never had much time to even see the inside of a truck stop...shoot now i could probably tell you the layout of every one of them. This is going on everywhere doll not just to you and your company. If you cant hang in there and ride out the storm my suggestion would be to try to get into a different career. But its as they always say there's light at the end of the tunnel and a rainbow is never far behind the clouds...Hang in there it will get better:biggrin_25520:

I think this new (uncompleted) yard in Memphis, TN is going to have problems with that 1 million container a year projection they bragged about....too.

They are moving containers. But it is slow as ####.

Ashley Furn, in Ecru MS built an additional lot to hold just containers and chassis. It's almost full, of empties.

:biggrin_25516:I haul steel and get paid by percentage. I just received a $137 check for 6 days and 3 loads that week. I spend more than that a week to live in that truck. i noticed that the loads that paid $200 last fall are paying $100 now. This week i had to break down my sidekit and tarp to haul containers from columbus,OH 2 Chicago for $118. WOW this is sucking big time.:biggrin_25516:

Look for a small company within 100 miles from yourself, The ones that have contracts may not pay as much, BUT you can get a more steady income with more home time.

I drive for Crete on the General Mills dedicated account. I don't wanna make most of you weep by posting the numbers, but I'm getting a restart right now because I ran out of hours.
