Is anyone here a owner operator for Western express or Interstate?

I was talking back and forth with someone else that worked for western express.They said you could pick loads off of a loadboard too, do you know if you can use outside loadboards?

 

I have a buddy who pulls vans for western, he has his own truck and yes they can use an outside load board but he tells me it sucks both boards that is. The outside board ends up in his load getting under bidded by another company then westerns board he says really has no loads seems like they try and force your hand to make you take certain loads even though they arent forced dispatched if that makes sense. This is just his experience he has been there about about 2 months im sure he leaving once he gets green light from another co.

 

Just read a bunch since I posted that question. Not going there. I'm looking for a company that will take an owner op with 3-6 months experience. There are not many out there. Would you know any?

I have been western since they started the owner/operator program 2 years ago. It's bittersweet, tough being limited with broker boards so many brokers are unreliable with payments according to western "JB Hunt,XPO,Coyote" all been blacklisted.... Plenty of freight available but customers can be difficult... Anywho was told today that program has been terminated due to unforeseen circumstances with recruiting allegedly... Think they may be focusing more on in house lease purchase/team driving

 

Any port company will take you as a new o/o
