Is anyone NOT using Trucker Path App? What's wrong with you?

Yeah heaven forbid we have more flexibility in our day with two more hours to get everything done....hate to break it to you but Canada is already a 16 hr day with qualifying of duty periods of 2 hours. It’s a much better system then the us.

 

Thats right. My son ran Canada and when he crossed the border into Canada he got 2 extra hrs. Odd he and all other drivers were not crashing from all the fatigue! Also we have the 16 hr exception.

 

Why not fix the problem instead of merely masking it? If you can’t make it in 14 hours, 2 more hours won’t save you. You guys who like giving up your time for free are part of the problem. Advocating for hourly pay rather than working like a slave would make more sense to me. You must enjoy being screwed out of your time by shippers and receivers. I’m out.

 

I love the trucker path! It helps me find out about some the best kept gems on the road in terms of truck stops. You get an idea of what fuel costs at some of them. I like the the parking report the best. I also like that I can find a Walmart pretty easily.

 

If a driver is only looking for the corporate truck stops in terms of parking, and it's late, they'll almost always see lot is full. Finding those mom and pops are where it's at. I've found some truck stops surrounded by really cool restaurants because of this app and it ain't always the chains

 

How do you know..we get 50 per hr for waiting.

 

I guess that’s one way of looking at it. I rarely bump my 14 because I typically run long multi day trips. I also run out of daylight before I run out of hours half the year. Our shippers and recivers don’t dick us around too much. Our detention is built right into our contracts and it’s steep.

That two hours allows me to pull over and take a nap if I need to and not lose time or feel rushed racing the clock the rest of the day.

 

The thing is with burn phones and such many trial attorneys are just using apps like that and Waze participation demonstrating an ongoing usage in the industry.
