TESTED!!!???W923, Siinman and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Tested in real time on us!!
W923 and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Were you driving back when we went from no EGR to EGR and ACERT to DPF’s in the span of 4 years? They put plenty on the market with very little testing because there wasn’t time. And what is the science you speak of? We could be net zero emissions in this country and it won’t change a thing globally. It’s all just to make people feel good. Read up on artisanal mining in the Congo and see how there are basically no rules for the small time players mining all the cobalt. Like I mentioned to you in another post, read or listen to Cobalt Red. It may change your views on this green movement.m16ty, KrumpledTed, High Stepper and 9 others Thank this.

If the heavy truck manufacture's, with Government help thru regulation, can force you to buy a new truck every 5 - 8 years, they have guaranteed profits.

The problem is, the market has produced emissions technologies for coal power plants that are on par with natural gas fired plants. The saleable byproducts save these things from being mined as well. Portland cement, wall board, road aggregate and other products are made from the ash.
Nothing is ever good enough for them, as they continually move the goalposts.
Politicians have even gotten involved in solar for the benefit of their donors. Some places where individuals became mini generators, used to get checks paid to them for their excess generation to the grid. People were starting to become interested in investing into excess solar generation, which was beneficial to the grid. The power companies opposed it and the politicians wrote regulations against the consumer for the benefit of the power company and their pockets as well.
As for the science, if the IPCC and the climate modelers case was so solid, they wouldn’t have needed to manipulate the data in their favor as even their climate models didn’t give them the results they wanted, but gave them results contrary to their crusade.m16ty, 77fib77, Rideandrepair and 7 others Thank this. -
Hmmmm.......how do you know for sure that they manipulated the data? You don't think that goalposts move as more information, technology, etc is discovered? I tend to believe that goal posts are always gonna move, simply because there's always something to discover.gentleroger, Rideandrepair and Numb Thank this.

It is not about clean air.
If all politicians would be about the planet, they wouldn't be fighting wars. They are HYPOCRITES.
They are talking about clean air while Russia is bombing Ukraine.
Climate was always changing. It is never static.
No matter what you will be doing, you won't stop what's to come.Rideandrepair, Siinman and Vampire Thank this. -
Compare what Hammond research Cottrell alone did for emissions to the members of the IPCC, Al Gore and even the Sierra club who supports control of the people via “carbon taxes”. The contributions of the latter pale in comparison to what just that one company has accomplished.
The contributions of free minds and free markets towards the reduction of pollution outweigh much of the hot air and desire for control that many of these groups have. Heck, even Kewanee did more than them by manufacturing smokeless boilers which burned bituminous coal far more efficiently and reduced emissions substantially.
Al Gore’s electric consumption is more than his neighborhood. With the advent of Microsoft teams, streaming and so on, all of these heads of state and special interests still choose to fly via private jet to these lavish meetings that do nothing for the environment.
If you don’t remember the e-mails exposing the so called climate modelers, that’s ok, but it happened. If you think central planning and control will solve these issues, you’re clearly mistaken.Rideandrepair, W923, dirthaller and 4 others Thank this. -
My grade school had coal powered heating. Big giant smokestack on the building that sat between the school and playground. Guess where the ash went? The whole neighborhood was once swamplands. Filled in with God knows what type of hazardous industrial wastes. I wonder how much of it is the cause of such a high rate of cancer. I can’t help but wonder if my step mothers cancer at 37 yrs old was caused by living right next door to Detroit Diesels factory where her Father worked. The clean air act was needed. The waters were also too polluted. When Lake Erie catches on fire and burns for days, might just be polluted. Some oversight is definitely needed. Unfortunately the EPA has become all too powerful. Concerned about their own survival above all. Constantly raising the bar, setting their own standards. Once a goal is in sight, the bar gets raised higher, ensuring their own existence. Common sense and reasonable compromise gets lost in the process. Like everything money and greed finds its way in and corrupts the original goal. Recent plastics recycling tracking study, shows over half ending up in landfills. Not surprised. The Carbon Credit BS is unbelievable. A total scam. A tax on the developed world. Wealth redistribution scheme. Ripe for corruption. All wrapped up in a feel good package. Naïve is too innocent of a word to describe it.
