I live in SoCal. I hate the politics here. I hate the crime. I hate the traffic. I hate the drought. I hate the laws. I hate the cost of living. I hate the taxes. And I absolutely hate earthquakes.
But truth be told, there's no other place on earth that I'd rather be.

I love SoCal...to visit lol. Another reason Henderson may be a good idea.

Not so much, NorCal was an idea so I could still visit SoCal and not deal with the downfalls of living there. Jobs in NorCal don't seem too promising and cost of living sucks from what I'm gathering from this post. Henderson has a much lower cost of living, extremely nice IMO, and SoCal is still right there.

I stayed there during the Spring and Summer, Spring was perfect...Summer was a bit much. Still rather deal with that than cold though, by far.

You can always visit Southern California by riding the fast train, XpressWest, which will run from Las Vegas to Palmdale,CA during the first phase of construction! It will eventually connect to the light rail system in LA and run North and South.

No. I hate it here. Go visit Tijuana if you like it there you will like California. You better be blonde hair and blue eyes because if you look even slightly darker than a completely pale white person EVERYONE will try to talk to you in spanish. Dont get me wrong there are good parts here but they are expensive and if you plan to be a local trucker here those 50-70 hours you put in at work will be in areas dominated by 99% latinos. And good luck on the roads they cant drive for ####.

If your thinking Norther Cali I would recommend Yreka or Sacramento Yreka is more of a country small town and only Interstate 5 runs through it, but Sac has I5 and I80 which can open a lot of driving opportunities. Plenty of work along the I5 corridor right now. You may also want to think about southern OR also. I live in Grants Pass and I love it here.
