is Cargo Theft Common?

I don't think it's too common to have your trailer broken into like that.

What is relatively common is theft of entire loads. And it's much more common than the stats show apparently.

I mean, who'd risk breaking into a trailer without knowing what the contents were? Good luck stealing these pallets of talc...

Ive only heard of it happening with employees at terminals (furniture) or whole trailers at truck stops/docks.

 

"YouTubers" are the Kardashians of the trucking world.

 

My nostrils are sure glad I switched to drinking cold coffee.

 

Two days in a row means it is the driver who is swiping stuff out of his trailer.

 

Probably means his buddy was too lazy to come back the same day for the rest of it

Believe it or not it got to be a problem in the Omaha area for a while .
Trailer full of go carts stolen out the old tsc dist center with a stolen Rollins tracter trailer found empty in Missouri valley ia and tracter on a side street in council bluffs ...go carts never found.
Trailer full of beer stolen out of Crete , trailer found empty in South Omaha .
Stuff at the smaller ltl company's and the pamida dist. Center was disappearing left and right .
It quieted down after the fences and cameras went up.
