Is CAT 3406C any good?

    '99 was the last year to order a C in an on-highway truck.

    Mine was built in '95 and is 100% mechanical which is the main reason I bought the truck. Everything else had a 435 E in it that I looked at.

    Best truck engine ever made IMHO.

    The only issue the 3406C's had was that the nozzle tips woud plug up and cause the injection pumps to leak pressure internal;ly and cause a low power problem. If the pumps have the new style bonnets and new nozzles it should be OK.
