CRE knows all to well theres another IDIOT born every minute. a Lease deal is only a WIN FOR THE COMPANY ! Never the driver.

 

My experience? I started off driving Taxis. They bring you onboard at a certain (low)rate. After you do it a while, people start telling you about how they get a better rate by leasing the cab. (I never took that bait) The rate is significantly higher, but you're on the hook for ALL repairs and maintenence on the vehicle. Also you don't lease the new equipment, you lease the "dead van walking" units that are on their last legs. +300k mile units with only 7 cylinders firing and a persistant tranny fluid leak.

No thank you.

Some companies I've worked for, if you don't bite on the lease program within a year you are quietly shown the door.

Of course this is the Taxi buisness,,, so your exp with trucking companies may vary.

 

the one hand is right tho.We need to start researching employers b4 we go and know i didnt know it was bad b4 i signed or i wouldnt have signed.i think part of the problem is,many people say oh,that guys stupid ima run hard and all that and do better,but truth is,it dosent happen and we end up here.sad,but true.just wish i wouldve done my research.
