The safety record alone proves the above statement couldn't be more wrong.
Why is there such a big difference between safety ratings and turnover rates in the industry? Why do some companies have more applicants than trucks and other companies have more trucks than applicants? Why do some companies have drivers with x years of longevity and other companies have few drivers with more than 2 years longevity? The above statement is usually a rationalization or excuse to jump into the snake pit and hope nothing bad happens.
Your last best chance to avoid some really big problems in this industry is when you pick a company to work for.
Is CR England REALLY that bad?

lets just put it this way when i was enrolling for CDL training I was handed a peice of paper with about 100 names and numbers of company's that would hire right out of school. the guy who handed it to me said "i dont like to talk bad about a company so I'm just going to show you this" he crossed out CR England even skipped right over swift.
Also there trucks are slow a piss. My truck is governed at 65 and i blow there doors off like they were standing still when i pass them. -
All I have heard is stories that if you do not lease their truck you get no miles.
The order of importance is right on the back of their trucks:
(highest to lowest)
Lease
Train

You have to "work" CRE to get your miles ... You have to "work" CRE to keep from going negative ... CRE gives you no tools to "work" your business ... CRE Logs Department and Safety Department are looking to "work" you over ... IC Advocate - what a misnomer - doesn't like to do any "work" ... You have to "work" for your money in your maintenance account - while CRE "works" to grab as much of it as they can.Rhinestone Eyes and AfterShock Thank this. -
