I was told it crystalizes the truck's engine and totals it? No new aspiring driver wants to do that.

When it dries crystals do form, but that is a moot point.

It contains a lot of water and other compounds.
Think of it like dumping a gallon of water into the gas tank of your car. What would it do?
    Nothing good.

    TravR1 Thanks this.

DEF will corrode the fuel system components.

I'm assuming that was a cell phone auto-correct issue. My phone used to do that if there were 2 spaces after a word until I figured out how to disable that feature.

I guess that is why I use a proper browser on my computer in my off time to post things.

Hell, anymore it's quicker and easier to do most things on my phone...once I got all of the auto-correct and similar BS turned off. Definitely more convenient, since I don't have to be sitting in the office in order to do what I want to do. If my phone didn't have a physical keyboard, I'd probably think otherwise...but I can almost type as fast on the phone as I do on a PC.

My browser on my PC does not auto correct. My LG smartphone will not autocorrect, but if I am not careful to carefully look at a word suggestion it will be what I type. I try to limit my smartphone to when i am In bed or over at the VA hospital getting a treatment.

Use deliver tons of the stuff when I was with Brenntag. It's mostly water but can be a skin irritant with certain people, nothing to worry about.

Every Swift truck I’ve seen lately has a “no DEF” sticker on the fuel tanks by the fill hole. I would bet they have a reason for putting them on.

I make sure that crap only ends up in the def tank..... As in I make sure I don't spill any not even a small amount. I realize it's corrosive nature. If it's not flammable what's it's purpose? I know it somehow cleans the dpf filter, but how.

I can't believe someone would put that crap in the fuel tank..... Dummies.
