Yep the RORO freight is moving cheap. We used to get 1-4 loads out of 20, but we have not hauled any green tractors since the new rates went into place. No worries...we are getting out of there and at better rates. Just have to work harder to find customers willing to pay for quality.
dannythetrucker and Cluck Cluck Thank this. -
Good for you PAPE. I wish you the best of luck
-
Thanks, Cluck. Most days it seems like it is more about effort than anything else. We just keeping pushing and pushing till we find something. The ironic thing is that we are up to 10/week going out there.

I'm planning on putting another couple trucks on. A "contractor" and a company driver. I've got a few opportunities for some very consistent freight. I just need to pull the trigger. I also wish people would quit asking me to get vans
-
Come on now, you know you want to be a door slammer.
-
If I'm going to pull a van the sides are going to slide to the front or to the back of the trailer.Oscar the KW Thanks this. -
You may be the one that needs the luck. Are you ready to be the manager? Sometimes its better to turn down loads than rely on someone else to keep up your good reputation. Hopefully, you have found a couple good hands.
-
Gotta do it eventually. I have higher ambitions then getting old behind a steering wheel
-
Good attitude. Just where I am at with moving into Heavy Haul. If you have any questions, let me know. I wish you the best.
