Without question. When I ran flatbed, shippers were pretty much Mon-Fri 8 to 5 type of schedule. If you're down south or midwest, you'll definitely be able to find a flatbed company in which you're home weekly.

If you are in Southern MS -- you should probably check out Jordan Carriers (if you haven't, already):

    Jordan Carriers -- Natchez, MS

The bad news there: you will in all likelihood have to (finally) tell them your zip code....:p

I looked at them but their website only lists OTR at the moment, although, I'll probably still call them on Monday to verify. Maverick is the same. I'm looking at Mcelroy and TMC too. They both advertise home weekly in my area.

Much appreciated. Given that I live so close to the Gulf, I assume that getting home every week would preclude too many runs into the Northeast and Midwest, or at least make them quick out and backs if/when they do happen.

Jordan Carriers website, under listed benefits, it sez:

    "Home most weekends"

This of course assumes you use/keep the same zip code....:p

I saw that part about home "most" weekends. The way I look it, if they call it OTR and put a qualifier on the hometime, it probably means they'll get me back whenever they feel like it.

As for the zip code, it stays pretty constant when I'm not driving. LOL :D

For 10 years I ran regional pulling flatbed. I was maybe gone over a weekend a handful of times in those years. Depending on which way we were headed we’d be done Friday around mid-day and have to leave Sunday or done Friday night and leave Monday morning.

They're pretty nosey also, from what I hear....they will want that zip code, too....
