I have been working on this - just found what I have been looking for at Select Energy Services but was hoping frac-water is not hazmat as having the endorsement would get me hauling things I cannot be around all the time

    anybody really know?...

It's not hazmat. Company man will jump your a@@ if you spill any, though.

Oil companies don't want to give more ammunition to the anti-frackers.

No correct answer can be given unless you supply the "PROPER SHIPPING NAME". There's got to be some name of material so the people can see if it's listed in §172.101 Hazardous Materials Table. Do you have shipping papers and if so what is listed there. I do know it has some hasty stuff mixed it but what I'm not sure. And you'll never get an answer out of the oil companies. I'll do some reserach to see if I can find it.

i used to haul various waste waters related to the chemical industry. some non-hazardous and some hazardous on a waste manifest. the haz. water was NA or UN 9189? on a white background placard.

    Here's what I have noticed:

The only stuff getting placarded up here is some of the condensate water and they were using crude oil placards...I looked up the number on my phone because I was wondering what placard they used.

Everything I used to haul just goes on a "Residual Waste" manifest and is listed as "Drill fluids" "flowback" or "production water"

Well I love my new job so far, matter of fact I'm just getting trained to haul hazmat flatbed loads tommorow (I've had my hazmat but have never used it).

I saw that about the NG prices but my boss called me up 2 days ago asking me if I wanted to come back to work for him, he just bought 6 new trucks I guess, 2 112bbl tri-axles, 2 130bbl transports and 2 sand cans.

I told him not yet, I'm enjoying the hell out of my new job, its very relaxed.

    pathfinder1361 Thanks this.

Simple answer no, but hazmat is a plus because most companies that haul fracwater also haul drilling mudd and other hazmats
