Musta been. Companies are enacting hiring freezes, Schneider has closed down all of their schools but the one in Green Bay and is concentrating on hiring experienced drivers, and miles are dropping. There are around 127,000 drivers that have been put onto the market because over 2,900 companies have closed their doors, but there is a BIG demand for truckers. Right.

Or as my late father-in-law use to say "Two positives don't make a negative. Yeah Right."

Actually, there is a point there - real drivers as opposed to some of what classifies as a truck driver.

Don't fall for the statements and gossip, and articles about, "There is a demand for Truckers".

    Cause there isn't one........:biggrin_25512:

Not much demand for rookie drivers at this time, and too many wannabes isn't helping.

On the other hand, it is darkest before the dawn but it may be night for a long time. If the economy turns around, there will be more demand.

Exactly,......and the reason those companies keep hiring is because drivers quit as fast as they can hire them,...as soon as you think your gonna make any money with them they will cut your miles and starve you out so another newbe can take your seat.......

Freight is slow....and there is NO DRIVER SHORTAGE,.....steep away from the punch bowl...........would ya....
