Is it just me or are young adults under the age of 25 just plain lazy?

Technology has doomed us all is the problem but where I work we have a few young people that are actually great workers but they have the drive to succeed and actually want to learn, you can’t teach someone that doesn’t wanna learn or that thinks they know everything already…..

If you want to see lazy older folks, go work in a mine or go to a construction site. Make all the young guys do the hard work and then ##### and moan from their nice heated cab about how long its taking.

Now that I'm getting older I'm working with a lot of younger folks. I strive not to be one of those old guys.

I would tell these guys that if they don't want a challenge, go ahead and just quit.

I'm 29, started driving semis this Spring and leading up to my CDL test, every chance I got to stay after work to practice backing in the parking lot, I took. 53-footer through residential construction? Let me do it. Backing a pup to a dock? 20 tries if I have to to get that swively junk straight.

I know that there won't always be a co-driver to bail me out, so I try to do the hard things now.

I've got a lot to learn still, I'm new and I'm far from perfect. My point is that from what I've seen so far, talent seems to be about 0.000000000001% of what makes a trucker, so if you don't want to ever sweat with white knuckles clutching the steering wheel, stop wasting everyone's time.

True for all generations, and all work, really.

the older i get, the more i realize that as much as the generations are different, they are the same.

much like politics, the internet can be used to support any idea regarding work ethic and generation. i think the fact of the matter is, every generation is responsible in its own way for ####-ing things up.
