Is it possiable to get a regional job starting out?

    For the first year or 2 that's pretty much how it goes... sadly to say. Get enough good time in and you can then pretty much pick and choose.

    You can find them, pound the streets, look into small companies. I got hired on a small company as a relief driver and after 5 weeks was offered a full time route. Ten nights a month, 7 drops, takes 12 hours to complete and starts at 38k/year. Local is out there for new drivers , you just have to really look.

    Lots of the flat bed companies will get you home on the weekends too
