I just got a grant through WIOA in Virginia,I start school next week.It has been a very fast process.

 

What type trucking do you want?

 

Congrats. Most Truck Driving Schools are very fast paced. Please take this endeavor seriously. Many in your class won't. Stick with the "winners" in your class. It won't be easy.bIt will stress you out at times. You will NOT be a Truck Driver when you " graduate". Schools teach you how to pass the CDL exam........that's it. You will begin to learn once you are paired with a trainer with your first company. Some trainers are good, many aren't. It is up to you to learn as much as you can from that individual in 5-6 weeks. Once you go solo, there is a big learning curve and times of frustration. GIVE IT A FULL YEAR with your first company. Most don't. Approximately 90% of new drivers never make it 6 months. That would be great I have 2 non violent or drug related felonies that are almost 10 years old do you know any besides western express that would give me a shot?
