HAAAAAAAAAA! This country was bought and sold A LONG TIME ago. Voting doesn't change a #### thing in the grand scheme of things. If the powers that be want a particular policy, it'll get voted in by any means necessary.

Voting no longer produces change. Obama (bought and paid for by the banking industry - he received more campaign funds then any other candidate in history from them) surely proved that. The only thing that changes is the schlep who reads the teleprompter.

You responded to a post that made comment about "if the republicans"

Just assumed with your Dallas and BS comment your response was somewhat political.. Sorry if I misinterpreted..

Yep. There is plenty of jobs in Dallas. I would love to live there, but I refuse to leave the small town living that we do now.

I just call BS on the statement that the fella put in so many apps with nothing.

7000 does seem excessive, but if I look at it I have probably put in 1,000 in two years. Unemployment requires me to put in at least 2 week. Paying off my ex-wife requires a lot more :biggrin_2556:

Then again I live in North Carolina, not Texas

Those pretty much sum up a lot of the current industry. :biggrin_25514: Nice job on those.

Then again, I sure do get to see a lot of the countries, and, traffic. :biggrin_2559:

This past 13 months I've been to the NCESC site, craigslist, monster, hotjobs and just about every other job search site there is. I've submitted my resume, applied in person and called places just to see if they were hiring. If they are hiring, you either have to have this degree, or that certification, and all for very low income compared to what it was just 2 years ago. It sucks, which is why most of us are changing career paths.

You are preaching to the choir Brother!! Worse part is NC says unemployment is dropping.. Yep they are dropping right off the other end. For every 20 IT jobs posted there are maybe three actual jobs and 2,000 applicants. Like I said I'll endure the puppy farm!! :biggrin_25523:

Tell me about it, I just got processed into my 'extended benefits' went from $451 a week to $254. Makes trucking seem like the dream job now. I'm starting with the SAGE Driving school next week, but have a tough decision to make coming out. TMC, Maverick or Roehl....

I'd talk to the ESC Your benefits don't go down because you transition tiers; however, if you got some left over from the last tier that is all you get till the following week.
