Pretty well everybody I know who's gone to college has said it was waste of time. One guy went to trade school, had a degree in precision farming and power lineman, he was driving truck until he died suddenly at 23.

Definately not a waste of time. Even if you never use the degree, the lessons learned getting it are invaluable. Assuming it's not a basket weaving degree like political science.

Right, that 35k dollars spent getting degrees you never use is a pretty expensive lesson.

That's what I do. I made close to $29K for five months of driving last year. Too much overhead to exist in the USA these days. You can't make it there and it's just not worth the effort.

How much more money in state/federal fundung does your town/county receive in state aid than it pays in taxes?

Rural schools tend to rank on par with urban poor schools in terms or academic achievement.

But this discusion isn't about rural vs metropolis living. Its about the overall economic health of our country.

Despite record low unemployment wages remain stagnate in regards to inflation.

After dropping for almost 2 decades, consumer debt is rising.

The Cass shipment index has fallen steadily all year. DCs that I have always had to wait in line to ingate.

PMI droppes below 50 for the first time since 2009.

Corporate earnings have been subdued. Companies are generally meeting expectations, but on the very low end and have revised forcasts down.

Copper is down, gold is up.

Private business investment is down over 5%.

It's not calamitous, but it's not all roses and sunshine.

You realize that 50% of millenials worked two jobs in their 20s?

Millenials have started more business than gen x and are generally more profitiable than gen x entrepreneurs.

Every generation complains about the young turks coming up - "kids today" have no respect, no work ethic, can't communicate, etc. You should read some of the opuon pieces in the 1920s about young people.

I've said it before and I will say it again - some of the laziest, most entitled sobs to come thru my truck gave been gen xers and boomers.

Your going to have to share your sources for those stats before I believe any of it.
Half of millennials worked 2 jobs????? Highly suspicious of this.

Here is an interesting one from the New York Post in March of 2019....
30% of millennials quit/get fired within the first 90 days. 75% of those 30% are disciplined for no shows or being late

Out of curiosity, I called on the last one: Kobe. I was told their minimum wage was $14.50 per hr. and that people out of High school start with that. So ... I don't know any more...is it a good start in Bowling Green, KY?
