Oh ok.. yea I didn't know was no experience person. Yeah, by all means if I was new I'd 100% go work for one of the MEGAs or someone's company that had work in this current market. I'm a new authority/hotshot and loads are scarce but luckily I'm just pulling only when I need to due to not a lot of expenses. (but I can pull cars or freight so I can usually always put together something)

As far as buying trucks.. Man when I was looking at Semis mid and even later 2018 you couldn't even touch a Cascadia for example for under $30k used.. Now I'm seeing them under $20k.

I'm running a hot shot truck now, but it's hard to see the used big truck prices right now and not think about moving back up again. I actually prefer the smaller truck bit harder to work out good loads but so much faster to move around and a lot more freedom with parking.. but the prices on trucks right now it's certainly a buyers market..

Theres plenty of loads in the southeast but none of em want to pay. Used to be id get $3k to go up to northeast off DAT. Now its rare if i can find it for $2k. Lot of $2mi into dead holes like tampa or syracuse. And a lot of freight thats actually moving in the 1.60 range.

Yet sources are calling for a crunch because capacity is down.

Slow for me. And the dead hole thing is way real and kinda odd this year to me. They can get me out but not home. Kinda crazy to me. Hopefully spring kicks in. I still won’t haul the cheap stuff. Don’t act desperate and be willing to say no or ask for or don’t take it.

looks like a race to the bottom. hope your debt load is minimal. with cheap fuel the economy will doddle along, a far cry from the touted best economy in 100 years.

The economy is doing great. The slow trucking market and the overall economy are not related at all.
