Where do you live? For a family of four, living in a decent suburb with good schools, just mortgage and health insurance will be $40k+. Then add $9k for daycare if one of the children is under 6 and there goes your $50k

Do you buy food, cars, gas , groceries or TV sets for that much less less elsewhere?
I am here and there every week and so many of those dilapidated small towns everywhere that I see, surely once before nice towns and well up-kept places. Nothing around the areas but a prison or two. That's another great career path - a prison industry. The peak of ambition for some.
Sometimes I wonder, am I in America or somewhere in the 3rd World? There is an obvious pauperisation of American folks and no state of the union will blur the picture. Wake up people, wake up! Find your real enemies. Don't let them feed you with maccaroni cheese and Walking Dead on HBO because you'll turn into them sooner than you think.

On the other hand, I like to eat macaroni cheese every now and then. Not made from a box bought at WM though.

Just because you couldn't live on less than 50k a year doesn't mean it's impossible.

As far as I can remember you - early 20s (?), you are too young a kid to discuss this matter with me.
Besides, be able to live at all and live decent on a dignity level are two different things.

And I'll wait till you married, have kids ready to go to collage and many other responsibilities and when you are in your 40s havin seen things. Then we can talk for real.

BTW I was living on less than 25K (making 5.50 per hr on construction jobs) in 90's being your age. A room in Chicago bungalow basement was all I needed.,

Can someone tell me why if the economy is so bad that every manufacturing company in the mid west has a “we are hiring” sign posted out front with starting pay of $12 per hour.....I low balled this to prevent some jack wagon argueing when reality is most places start abover $15? These aren’t McDonalds jobs I am talking about either.
Ask any HR manager in any sector today and they will tell you finding and hiring the right people is the biggest issue they face today.

Where are they? Give me addresses of them, names of places! Post them maybe it will reduce overcapacity.
OK. I you say so, I drive around the area and look for those places, walk in maybe and ask, how lucrative wages they offer. Besides $15 is a #### wage too.

Dude, you are 24 years old, you know not
Because there are no people who want to work for that money. You either gotta keep bringing immigrants to fullfil those jobs or shift them overseas. That's why manufacturing is not coming back to USA

    thelushlarry and mladen86 Thank this.
