Yeah, I'd love a job like that! I have 2 weeks left of school at DCTC and then it's time to job search.

How can I get more information?

I have no clue to be honest. I figured it was like any other union. The only unions I have been in were mandatory. The first was when I was a bag boy at Byerly's when I was 14... I worked 10hrs/week and my union dues were $35/month! The next union was when I worked for the phone company. I like unions, but I won't cry if I'm not in one.

This is the rail yard right off 61? I've seen lots of activity, but have never stopped to see what the deal is. I think there is also a Roehl terminal tucked back there too. Started noticing it more after the bridge work started.

Exactly right off of 61 exit I think its Jamaca go to the right behind the Plastic company . The name is Allied and I do know that they have been hiring. This is a Union company and if hired you are full time from day one unlike many union freight companies that you go part time for many years. The Benes are second to none. I worked out of there this witer from the end of FEB til the 1st of April ,which was volunteer and they pay very generously for that and because of my senority I was runnig about 500 to 600 mile trips into ND they pay about a $1 a mile head haul and $.88 back haul and yes that a company driver you will not make more or even close to that in the freight industry. And they will also train you to haul cars

How come you aren't still working there if it was so great? Also, does this outfit have a website or what is their full name so I can look it up and make sure I am dealing with the correct company.

Besides that rail head there is also one the other side of the interstate the BN yard and the Ford Ranger plant in St Paul and what they call the port yard so they haul out of 4 differant yards
