Ask Old Dominion which schools they hire from. Sometimes they can be picky.
TWT probably doesn't care as long as it's 160 hrs. but ask anyway.
Freymiller in Oklahoma City hires teams and new cdl grads, but don't know how their pay works. Freymiller website has "experience required" but that's not correct; they hire new cdl grads right out of school.

Yes, they used to team at Old Dominion and have the correct information.

Seems to me, OD is one of the best places to team and clear 100k.

You'll work for it though. No time to stop and sight see. Most ltl carriers run tight schedules. I'm exhausted just thinking about that work schedule and trying to sleep in a moving truck to get the rest I need to get up and do it again and again and again. /yawn

I know a few couples that absolutely bank and are home every weekend, but they literally run as a true team. Follow @Chinatown 's advice on companies. Just depends on where you live and all. But in all truth, if you're pulling 90k combined stay with what you're already doing. Yea you might be able to pull 110-140k running teams, but your actual standard of living will decrease. There is something great about being able to shower barefoot and watch a movie before bed with a loved one, walk to the bathroom without getting fully dressed, order in Chinese food when the mood strikes, or even just being able to go for a walk when you need the break from your companion.
If you want to leave your old life behind and sell everything, run a few years without a home base to bank 300k then go for it. But if you're already established and have other viable options I would recommend not getting into this industry.

    #### that ####.
I'd rather be broke than sleepless.
At least with some sleep I could pander, barter or beg.... sleepless.... I'd probably lose it.

Two months on a trainer truck confirmed that. And i was pushing broke; definitely sleepless.

If I were truly broke, I could sack up and endure sleepless for a few months to get back on my feet.

There's been a few posts on here where husband/wife teams left the medical field and have no regrets. Watching the scenery change by the minute through that big picture window (windshield) and having meals in a different state or city every day sure beats punching a time clock.

To each his own, but to paint our lives as glamorous is akin to a military recruiter saying you'll see every port in the world. If they dislike their current lives and want to try something new, so be it. Yes our job has perks, but the industry lacks the freedom of a decade ago much less the golden age.
