    No.

Wife and I did it for almost a year and generated 65K minus perdeim itemized deduction which was around 14K plus other deductions against a horde of taxes that year to put us solid into the black. Due to both Arkansas and Federal taxes constantly rising we paid off all of our debts including house and learned that we maintain the gross total income around 18K at most for any given year. That allows us to break even and expect no additional taxation to have to pay. It's not easy anywhere else but the south with low cost of living.

You are a Nurse? stay with it. It's only difficult because of cost cutting by Hospitals. Hang in there. You will be Charge nurse someday with your own desk and 50 dollars an hour yourself. Way more lucrative than any trucking will ever be.

The two of you will incur either a few hundred dollar a week food bill retail or about a thousand dollars a month food bill. Other problems like showers etc. Will show that in some places of the USA you will feel like a third class citizen. Bums is a third issue. Difficult and dangerous areas as well.

You will be together in a tiny space, if that does not cause both of you to bring out blades and stab each other sooner or later I don't know what will. Even the best of couples fight. And having two in the cab might as well have a large dog and a mountain lion inside together locked in. Rwar! Snarl!

I hate to be so negative. If you are feeling pinched at 100K now, whatever you two are doing... plan on existing on 20K or less net after everything else your first year on the road. Your gross will be awesome but only half or 1/3 what you are used to seeing with that 100K

Stay away from trucking. Seriously. You two will be viewed as fresh meat and used accordingly.

Might wanna give Werner a call. GO ahead and laugh. Friend of mine got his wife involved. She went through roadmaster. He trained her after she got her cdl. She was given a preferred status.
Jist of it is.. Werner is paying appx 45 cpm to the truck all miles. Brand new 17 kw as that was their choice of tractor. 8K sign on bonus, both school loans paid IN FULL.
PLUS they are average around 6k miles a week.
    No , I am not a recruiter.
I've been with them for 16 months.
Give them a call. You may like what you hear.
They treat their teams real good. PLUS they treat a few of us solos good. Just a few lol. Like me. :)

Danny herman trucking is a good company. They run thru OK all the time so hometime will be easy for you. But I left them to go flatbed, but they are the company that cares about their drivers and means it. A highly faith based company with good values.and this company was made for teams alot of cost to coast no northeast northwest or flordia. Auto trucks, don't go to Werner teams have the pick of the litter when choosing a carrier.
