Millie looks like a great company, I'm considering them, maybe some drivers can answer my question, I like to be very very active, being dry can do you at least get to help unload the truck most of the time? I was debating between going over to Melton to to strap and tarp or to millis seeing as their drivers are very happy.

Most of the places we pickup from or deliver to are either "no drivers on the docks" or will only let their warehouse guys load or unload. Even the places where you have to hire a lumper to unload will only let you do it yourself if you have some sort of forklift certification. If you want to do that sort of thing - which to be fair is a good way to stay in shape, you'll find flatbed to be more your cup of tea. I've only had to unload once in two and a half years.

I spoke with a recruiter from Millis last week and asked about NYC area loads. She said it isn't forced. Is this true or was she not being truthful?

It's true. No forced NYC. If you volunteer to go there they pay an extra $100 if you do go there.

Thanks John Q. Do you drive for them, and if so, how do you like it? Thinking of making a change and have heard good things about them.

Yes I drive for them. Live in NY actually, near Syracuse. I have driven in NYC with my car but not a truck.

I have never been asked to go to NYC but have gone to other northeast places such as Connecticut, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, DC area and other places in upstate NY. I like Millis quite a bit

From what I understand there is only 1 customer Millis had around NYC and it's out on Long Island. I believe it's fish tanks or something like that, and been told it's easy in and easy out. In my year there I never went there or NYC but my trainer had been to Long Island once. He then pulled the 1 Cali run Millis does. Only teams or trainers/student get the Cali run from what I've been told

Yes they are going to all autos.
