Is OTR required to gain experience?

Given your location & military background -- it's a safe bet that some of the area flatbed fleets would love to talk to you. For example:

New/student CDL drivers -- Maverick Transportation -- Nashville, TN

Also....talk to:

• Decker Truck Line
• Roehl Transport

None of those will be local gigs -- but they are good places to get started (especially Maverick).

Might have a shot at both of those. Again, stress your military big truck driving experience.

Construction, paving, excavating, tree compaines love to hire laborers with a CDL. That could open pathways into all sorts of work. Can even move into equipment operating. Also, I think Ferrell Gas will take zero experience too if you get your HAZMAT. There are so many better ways to use that license to make good money and not have to smell someone elses morning dump every day.
