That's my point, writing off 50$ or just not showing 50$ income are the same thing correct? In the end your taxable income is 950$ a write off is no more beneficial than just having the same $$ less income correct?

Oh, I see what you're getting at. I would guess so? It's over my head, but that makes sense.

You want to show $1000 with a $50 write off to make your books look better.

It looks better to have a stronger business with more revenues.

I don't entirely understand the month or 3 wait for your money thing either. Only thing that makes sense is they don't have the cash flow to cut the check before they get paid themselves.

I'm sure that might be it, but they shouldn't be waiting either. NOBODY should be waiting. I could understand if this was 1968, and people were still writing checks, but get with the times, people.

    I don't think I've booked a load that's more than 30 days.

If they have the quick pay option I try to get the rate up to cover it.

Lately I have lots of local customers that pay weekly so that keeps me a float for everyone else who pays 30.

What, you don't write checks? I write several a week just for fuel.
I get irritated when clowns want to direct deposit my money, doesn't show up any sooner and I'm sure not giving up a percentage of my money to be able to spend it sooner.

    TheLoadOut Thanks this.

I don't write checks for anything. And of all the times I've been paid by check, it's never once came on time. If a broker pays by check, I don't haul for them. Sick of the headache. If it isn't them lying about it being in the mail, it's the post office losing it.
