Sounds like karma bit those no-customer-service clowns square in the butt. Ha Ha! I wonder how much Garmin paid the hacker...

It may back up but it not recording the miles we are running the logs right but missing any kind of miles run. We are certifying logs but the company can't see any logs back at office. The office has not seen a log for any driver in the Rand system since black out. We are going with someone else starting Monday. They wouldn't tell me who. Still running paper this is a real mess for a lot of people. Where is the FMCSA in all this?

    Still undecided Thanks this.

Because they certified them to be in the eld business. It my option it nothing but a very poor excuse of eld stick to maps. It been out service for two weeks and YES where is FMCSA in this all of this. Tell me why they should not be involved.

If their systems are still down that would probably indicate problems with their disaster recovery plans. They may be building out the remaining systems fresh. Some heads will roll in the IT department.

While true heads will roll I worked in IT before moving to trucking. I can almost guarantee you the CTO and every one below him has a paper trail requesting money to implement systems to prevent exactly this. And of course that money was denied because "everything works"
One of the biggest complaints from IT people I talk to is not getting the money to do a correct backup/recovery plan

FMCSA didn't even do that much. They allowed the companies to self certify.
