The "Power of Grey???" Go figure. The blue trucks didn't last long either.

Not to my knowledge. I know you had to pay Roehl to install an inverter you supplied, and it was limited to 1,000w. Now, they may have said no regarding trucks that had an APU, as that would be rather redundant, I think.

This information is simply from general memory, I've never had an inverter installed, nor have I had an APU.

Because the Boat-Hauling thing was just a stunning success.

I think you can have a small one that will plug into a 12v outlet, 175 watts or so, anything bigger you have to pay them to install it, like $150 or so, then if you change trucks, then you get to pay them again to move it... At least that is the way it used to be, unless something has changed.

I was approached to run that fleet, I turned them down. Everyone seems stunned that I wouldn't take a fleet of drivers hauling freight that we knew nothing about. I asked 5 questions and got 0 answers, what would you have done?

i dont know about you guys/gals but I dont want a new truck, i like my 500,000 mile freightliner with a apu, and my gears are all worn in. I would rather keep a apu truck then switch to a battery pack truck.

got some bad news for ya, once the trks with themo king apu's and inverters are done thats it ! We are going back to what it was a before apu's.

Some of the prostars have battery pack hvac systems with auto start but not all.
the freightliner cascadia has a battery hvac system but wont idle unless it below 15 degrees or above 85 degrees. Oh it will idle some but you have to push in the clutch every 3.5 minutes or trk will shut down.

Then there are the few baby eight trucks that roehl has ,white prostars, and a couple cascadias. (not sure on the color of the cascadias) . I was in a white prostar for a couple weeks but in extreme low temps the truck battery would not run bunk heater and my cpap machine all night. Since it was disrupting my minimum four hours
on the cpap they put me back in a 07 freightliner with a inverter and apu !
    Now all is well !
