My friend its a good company. Even with all the bad that it dealt my way I still enjoy working for them. As I said, I got unlucky when it came to my truck because it's caused me alot of problems. Your experience might be 100% different. You might get a newer truck then mine with next to no problems. Always keep a open mind.

lantern stop calling these jokers on the phone. Start putting everything in free form messeges to your dsr's through the quallcom. This way it is etched in stone and documented and they cant deny it. Also work with maintenance directly and let them know you have safety issues. You did the right thing going over there heads if they are not taking care of you !

    Haha.

Its still a good company bro. We're not a huge company which is why roehl can't really afford to rapidly replace all the old trucks.

I'm still happy with roehl. I got switched to my new FM yesterday. I have Wayne from Ellenwood. He's pretty cool.

My Turbo is starting to act up. Ill be driving on cruise at 60 and I can hear the vanes on my Turbo opening and closing a lot. Ill lose power and then it gets restored. It only happens every now and then.

yeah lantern it sounds like you got a lemon truck....that just sucks...sometimes the FMs need a kick in the pants once in awhile...remember...you gotta step up or you get stepped on...FYI with your turbo pissing oil..that can be a fire hazard...and will get you put OOS....if it continues to be a problem tell maintence face to face not over the phone that if they don't fix it you will take it to the nearest scale to get inspected...then they have to get it fixed on the road...just sayin...I would keep #####in if my truck kept me off the road as much as yours did...

I'm starting to. I also gave the operations manager the date and time of the phone call because he said he is going to listen to the recordings. I'm going to call him tomorrow and see what he came out with.

FYI Irish...Roehl is a decent company...we are generally treated pretty good...yeah trucks have issues.....but not all the trucks have issues...lantern just got unlucky...I was fortunate to have a decent truck...and when it hit the shop for something major my Fleet Manager stepped up and got me a new one ASAP otherwise she knew I would be running around finding a way to get back on the road...even if it ment fixing it myself...(I have done it before).....as long as you communicate well and learn how to play the game you will be good to go...sometimes I just play stupid and ask a lot of questions when it comes to some things that I already know..I just want it on my Qualcomm for record...

    understood

i guess my dad (who is from marshfield) as good things to say about them never drove for them but they knew my grandparents when they where alive

but i dont know still i am kinda nervious about getting a crappy truck

but like i said i am not afraid to go over some ones head and leave a shoe print on his or hers scalp never had a problem when i drove school bus/ motor coach for a company in wisconsin as i was not afraid to get something fixed if needed and went over a few heads plenty of times to get it done

and thats why i am making sure i get in with a company with q-c system

i firmly belive in cya= cover your a.... well ya get my meaning

if I have issues with a truck I call breakdown...if its a saftey issue, DOT, or plain ol Truck malfunction they will get you to somewhere to get it fixed...or at least fixed enough to get to a terminal if your close...I don't like to go to ellenwood or Gary for maintence issues because I have had bad experiences at ellenwood, and Gary is just so dang busy all the time...Marshfield or Appleton you can get fixed up pretty good...Iron Mountain isn't bad either... generally when the truck goes in for one thing Appleton and Marshfield will go from one end of the truck to the other to find other potential issues too and nip them in the bud before they become major malfuntions.....yeah it makes you wait but at least when it comes out you know your good to go.....what I try to do when I have a major issue is call my FM when I am near a terminal...that way I can get it taken care of while I am there...and thats when (time dependent) i put all the minor issues that bug me on my maintence request so the wrenches will take a gander at them and at least let me know if its a big deal or not....
I like Roehl and have not had many issues with them...Yeah my last fleet manager was canned (I don't know what for I liked her anyway) and my new one so far I like but it is taking sometime to get used to him...he runs me a little different...but meh its all good..
