Before you ask for a new DM be sure to talk to your DM about your wanting more miles. Believe it or not sometimes they look at the kinda runs you've been doing and duplicate the size and time accordingly. There are drivers that like to sit around. Once you talk with him or her try to work out a wednesday to friday delivery with something backed up to run you through the weekend. If you two can work that out you are only waiting for a load on Monday. Your DM will like it too because they can knock your week out in 15 minutes and be done with you. Something to think about. Remember its not what you say at first, its how you say it. 2nd time around it is Totally what you say.

Freight is mollassas slow!!!! and this is January(typically slow time of year). Although Swift is a large company there are other factors you have to consider. 1. The good miles go to owner ops with leases to swift first---SWIFT wants to ensure their money comes in for the truck payment. 2. Teams get next due to the time they can deliver. 3. after you consider trainers, seniority, drivers trying to get home and position as it relates to deadhead miles.........YOU are considered. If it make you feel better, I run dedicated and went from take home 1300weekly to 825. (I do air freight) and it hurts because the term dedicated means its gonna be like that for a while. I'm patiently cheering on Obama and hoping for an economic swing.

Yes freight is slow but load priority goes like this. Team, then mentors, then owner ops, then solo.
