why else would you buy it??? not all of us are eagle eyed anymoreNavigatorWife and G.Anthony Thank this.

Paper is just fine. You won't be using it enough to tear the pages. If you keep a tight lid on your pee bottles you don't have to worry about it getting wet. If you don't use your map like it's an adult magazine. Your pages won't stick together.

when i started out i got the paper one,..had to use packing tape to put north jersy new york city pages back it 3 times in 2 years,..4th tilme thay fell out i told dispatch i was done up there an moved on,...new one i sperged for the laminated,...cant ware it out,..can wash the pages if thay get dirty but youll need to up date for new info before its thrashed....and makes a good table top for chicken hauler habits as well
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
Laminated,is sturdier.corners don't curl up and fold up on you...doesn't tear loose of the spiral as easy as paper...

Just wait until a pigeon takes a dump on it through the window at a covered dock. Rats with wings!

Exactly!!! I find the laminated one is very helpful when planning a long route, BUT make sure you're using a Dry Erase marker... else the permanent type of ink will be a lot harder to wipe off. Plus, it's tax deductable... yes indeed, it's tax deductable!
Snowshoes and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
I used Streets & Trips (w/GPSr) for navigation so the paper RMMCA worked fine for me for checking restricted routes, etc. Smaller, lighter, gonna buy a new one every year anyway.

No. Paper has always been just fine for me. I got a deal in 2007 on a 2006 Atlas...and still have the 06' in pretty good condition. Just take care of it.
