Dry erase markers are great on lamimated atlases! When your trip is finished it wipes perfectly clean using a papertowel, any clean cloth or even your finger. Put one end of a ruler at shipper the other end at receiver, draw a line. That gives you a pretty good idea of the most direct route. So many uses, circle weigh stations, mark exits you need to use for truckstops, intersecting hwys. Mark the "go around" route that you take to get around an accident or a backup on the big road. Using my fuel points I always paid next to nothing for the atlas, my last one looked brand new after 7 yrs use. Its the best way to route yourself IMO.Vilhiem Thanks this.

Get a marker made for an overhead projector at an office supply store (or from a teacher if you know one) to make notes of exit numbers, truck stops or anything else you want to remember. You can write on the laminated pages and it won't come off until you wipe it with a wet cloth or tissue. Not to be confused with a permanent marker like a sharpie that won't come off no matter what you do or a dry erase marker that rubs off too easily, IMO. I can open my atlas and still see notes I made months ago.

Green. Just an fyi. Those type of markers are called "wet erase" and I prefer them also as dry erase comes off too easily.

write on the windshield too. Along the center post on a FL or outside edge for the full windshield trucks.Snowshoes Thanks this.

I learned this little trick from a trainer as well. works great as a HUD. When you make a marker, simply erase that point from the window.

WHY would you write on your windshield??????
