I already know about dash came but I was side swiped the other night. What kind of options do I have for mounting a camera to the mirror brackets? I want to be able to record both my side views as well.

Does anybody have any product recommendations?

Falcon dash cam. They have a 2,3,4, cam system. I have the 3 cam system. Works pretty good, if someone side swipes me and take the cam with them. It doesnt matter the main part is in the truck, and in the cloud. Good system but I will want you. Falcon cust serv SUCKS!

Why not hard wire 3 cameras to record on YouTube live with the video being private until you can clear it? Wouldn’t that be free?

You could do that in theory, but only in theory because there are some reality checks in there.

    1) you will need a cellular plan that has truly unlimited, unthrottled data
    2) there are many parts of the country that still do not support enough 3G/4G/soon 5G speed to upstream continuously. You would be reconnecting manually in your youtube account all day long as you move about.
    3) If you are going to stream form a mobile device, YouTube requires that you have at least 1000 subscribers. This does not apply to desktop and laptop devices.

Falcon has some nice setups that record to (up to 1 terabyte) a hard drive. I'm looking to purchase one myself, as soon as I decide to alight in one place long enough for shipping to catch up with me.
