We had a customer come in with a letter from the states I believe California stating the minimum cut in preasure was to be 100 LBS on most governors that are adjustable that means a 130 to 135 cut out preasure. It works for me and keeps everybody happy. If they find low air preasure they might look for more.

Are most of these compressors the same? I got a new one (Bendix truflo 750) and it cuts out at 120, but I want to get 130 out of it to make it easier for inflating tires etc. Is there an easy way to do this?

Look for a cylinder about half the size of a coke can with 2 or 4 air lines in/out of it. It has a plastic cap on one end, unscrew the cap use a 7/16 to loosen the nut, there is a screw in the center of that nut, that screw is your adjustment.

Can a driver be cited for having 150 PSI on his gauge?[/QUOTE]
I didn't see this answer exactly so from experience..... there is a safety (PRV ) on your air tanks that will pop at 150 assuming it's working. Todays trailer mfg recommends a minimum setting of 105 to insure the brakes are fully released. If you lift that safety most anybody that can hear within 20 feet will need new britches.
You should not run that psi constantly. Hard on comp. , uses fuel and stresses other components.
