Is there a way to sell a trailer that is financed?

Anytime I sell something that has not been paid off from bank I have the buyer pay the final payment amount to the bank and give me the rest. This way no one can get itchy about the sale and waiting on the Title to be released. In MO we get the title and it just has a lean against it so you can give them the signed title right away after the sell with a bill of sale.
Hopefully you did not get any loan that requires a penalty to be paid for paying it off early. Those loans suck and will never go that way.

I sold it back to the dealer.Gave me $500 less than what I paid for it.

Had me invoice them for the amount.Dropped off the trailer at the dealer and I believe I received the money a week later.They paid the bank.
