i always carried a bottle of 100 percent isopropyl alcohol for deicing air lines, but i guess some trailers dont play nice with that anymore?

Instead of generic duct tape, get Gorilla tape. Stuff is twice as thick and 4 times as strong!
Instead of rope or twine get some 550 paracord (http://www.lapolicegear.com/trpa100fole.html). Stuff is easy to carry/stow, strong as all get out, and doesn't rot!
A Tupperware type container with spare bulbs for every different type of light on your truck and trailer, as well as spare fuses of all different amps and both "mini" and reg. sizes, (and even some of the XL ones if your rig uses them...). Also, a couple of feet of red, black, and white wire the same gauge as your lights, not to mention some crimp connectors and wire crimps/cutter pliers.
A good (not cheap Chinese crap) sharp pocket knife and sharpening stone...
If you haul OSOW, extra bungees and flags, banners, and strobe light.
Some assorted nuts, bolts and washers/lock washers....
I'm sure I'll come up with more...

Heavy duty jumper cables...eventually you'll probably need them.

A doubles endorsement. So you can pull a second trailer with all the stuff we've mentioned here in it.

Nah, just do it like your closet when you were a kid. Keep pushing. It'll fit.
