Is there any practical use for a trolley break?

    Lol a buddy of mine was telling me years ago kids used to fly up on rigs in the middle of nowhere with there lights off, and just as they go to pass the rig they throw there lights on to startle the driver. a kid was trying to do it to him one time but he ended up seeing his rear running lights reflect off the kids pickup trucks grill, he pulled the johnson bar locking up the brakes sending the kid off the road into a field....

    One trick I use the johnson bar for is holding the trailer so you can jack knife without moving trailer. Works well when your backing into a tight spot and no room in front to maneuver.

    The older trucks with the johnson bar did not have the brakelamp actuator. Was a great way to get the attention of a tailgater. Those days the airlines were interchangeable too. Fun times

    I always used the trolley brake when sliding the trailer tandems never anything else
