I should have continued to "multi-post, and there you have it, you "job hop" ever so frequently.
you are basically doomed right out of the gate, again, trucking IS NOT for you, it IS NOT something you'll really want to do, you just want a paycheck, and no company is going to spend on average, "up to" $10,000 to train you, hire you, put you to work, then you quit. for a 24 year old, you really should be much MORE mature now and stay put when hired.

you are your own worse enemy right now.

Yup this is exactly what the president of the school I went to told us. If you're the type of person who has 3 jobs in one year then trucking aint for you. See I went to trucking as a last resort too but 2 days into the school and I was hooked. I loved being away from home and never really cared about home time. Trucking was and is for me. Problem is, I made a few careless mistakes and I got terminated. Too bad they don't know about all the good things I did on the road and all the near impossible situations I got myself out of. I'll be out there again there though, mark my words.

It took all of 2 weeks for me, in San Diego.
A week later I was in school.
6 weeks later I was working.

2 months out of work isn't that much time yet, 6 months or more starts to be a problem with some company's but your work history is whats going to hurt you it is just as important as a clean MVR.

Some carriers won't hire drivers who have had more than 3 jobs in the last 2 years. Job hopping is a concern with carriers. It costs a lot of money to qualify and check out drivers. I spoke with a driver once that told me that he had more than 20 jobs in 2 years. :biggrin_25521:

Yeah I am young and never really liked what type of jobs I did so yes I job hopped but that is what mistakes are there for... To Learn From. I am mature enough to know to stick with something and that is what I will do after getting myself in this rut.

I know a lot of people are moving back in with family and I probably will need to do that. I have always wanted to be a trucker, just never had the support from family to go out and do it. I appreciate the rewarding feeling that I would get delivering a load that keeps America rolling.

Millis was the only company I applied to and am sure I could get in somewhere, a couple of other people in the Millis chat said that they were denied and went for Roehl so I will try them. I appreciate all the helpful posts though and will get back on the horse. Trucking is my dream and I will get there.

Everyone "knows" that trucking is what they want to get into. Then they find out how much trash there is in this industry.
That aside, if you "knew" this is what you wanted to do, why did you wait until you were assed out to try making a move into it?

    Gizmo_Man Thanks this.

As I said I didn't have the support from my family to do it. Usually when things go to #### people tend to do things they typical don't do. Such as not caring whether my family approves of me becoming a truck driver or not and just going out there and doing it. Yeah I was denied from one place. I will get in somewhere.
