Well, though I didn't want to I guess I will comment once again.
Confessions: the radio isn't hooked up yet, the antenna is a Diesel Aluminun Coil 52" Ultra Band CB Radio Antenna 5000W Stainless Steel Whip that was on sale for $20.00,
it was hooked up through the existing system that comes with the truck. mounted on the mirror bracket. There are some connections on top of the mirror housing and under the door panel that are in constant need of attention.
gotta come up with a new plan

What brand of coax and antenna do you reccomend? Should a separate ground be run from the radio? One antenna or two?

There's about 370,000 miles on this unit, I don't know how much longer I'll have it before the company rotates it out via an auction or what have you. what ever is installed I'd like to take with me.with ease.

If the "ANT" light isn't red when you key up then your ok to not burn up the radio at least.
