Most fresh pilots in the Air Force don't begin their careers in the front seat of an F-15.
Similarly, most new (no experience) drivers don't start out at top-tier pay.
Your pay is based on (in part, at least) your level of experience.
A driver with a year of experience (or less) can't really expect to make the same $$$$ as a driver with say, 5+ years experience.
You just have to work your way up...

Yes I agree, but I'm just saying what Schneider will never tell a new driver. To get top pay as advertised you need a minimum of 2 years with Schneider AND you have to be a TE or run teams. I'm willing to bet a year on this account as a new guy would be right around 65K.

Thank you, appreciated will do.

The recruiter said I will be assigned a truck for that route. I asked if it would be slip seating she said no is that true?
-
Oh, KLLM offered a job, then backed out.
Stick with Schneider 12 months if you can. The pay will be crap, but after 12 months, other better opportunities will be available. -
The only slip seating I know of that you may encounter at Schneider...is if you did intermodal freight in day cabs. Those jobs are home daily, in most cases.
However -- not all Schneider intermodal is like that. When I did intermodal there -- I got into a sleeper truck. I was out for 5 days, then home 2.
Lather, rinse...repeat.
I recommend at least 6 months of driving elsewhere -- before you try/switch to intermodal.

This seems to continue being a "sore spot" with a lot of new(er) drivers --> why can't I easily make $80k - $100k (heck, or even more)....right out of CDL school....& (even) with no CDL endorsements?

Really?
Trucking is/will NOT be a good "fit"....for those possessing an "instant gratification" high-dollar mindset.

Yep, I'm still mad about my first three months. My pay ended up being less than minimum wage at Western Express. Schneider was better but still not anything amazing. Just doing my part to manage expectations. I know people doing doordash full time who will gross close to 100k.BrothaTrucka513 Thanks this.

I 2nd this post.... That's exactly who I'd choose out of that pool.
-
Door dash full time? Grossing 100k? I'm skeptical about that one. They must never sleep. Expectations if running miles properly should be around the 2500 mile mark at 50 to 55 cpm. 50 if your inexperienced, 55 if moderately experienced. If you been around a while, then you could command 60 cpm, maybe a little more in some places.Mega Express Thanks this.
