I"m sure people are getting hassled. I"m just not seeing it as we all think there should be. And I've had my banners like the opening statement also. But I also had the mesh type that allowed the lights to be seen. Not the more solid type.

I"ve been stopped for having the left side dragging on the ground. Front bumper. And it was that time I was told the plate had to be visible.

I"ve been seeing a lot of trucks getting away with a lot of stuff lately.

    I"m sure you all have.

I see a lot of guys take a bungee and lift up the middle portion of the sign and wrap it.

Does DOT bother at that point?

    Oxbow and cke Thank this.

Not really. We deal with Truckee, Sacramento, Cordelia, Cottonwood, Dunsmuir, Ashland, and K Falls scales on a regular basis.
They don't cut anyone much slack.
It's very seldom that we get away with anything and the people I talk to at other companies say the same thing.
We haul a lot of OS/OW and knowing that the scales are watching...and that includes the guys in the pickups...keeps us from getting sloppy.

You can get away with that 99 times out of 100
I think that the 10 minutes spent putting it away is worth more than the gamble.

    SAR and Oxbow Thank this.

Last time I went through the Klamath Falls POE, I got the "PARK BRING IN PAPERS" light.

The little goblin looking guy behind the counter starts raking me over the coals for not having an Oregon Weight and Tax Identifier Permit. (Before even giving me an opportunity to present it, all I run is SW Oregon).

"DO YOU KNOW THAT'S A FINE, PAID BY YOU DRIVER?"

"Oh, you mean this permit, right here?"

    "....."

    Guy fat fingered something.

"Listen, how about you not open up about ticketing someone until after you've verified their paperwork is in order"

You should move the sign up to your windshield so they can see your plate.

Why else would they make see through signs besides being seen through. Aside from the license plate you will absolutely be able to see the lights.

You simply Must upgrade your internet package. Paying that kind of money to look up just one ticket is beyond ridiculous..

Knoxville is the same way. About once every six months they will fill the lot with OS. They are an arrogant bunch of mofo’s
