Is this a problem??

1))) I have 3 class A misdemeanors(convicted of lesser, original charge was felony charge but No felony convictions),and 3 dui misdemeanors from 1987, 1989, 1992 (mostly assault). A recruiter told me he had seen guys with worse records get jobs. Are there companies that would hire me or really krap jobs out there to get me started? Maybe no benefits, (I'm a Vet so I have those benefits, i.e., medical.
Not touch free, Oilfield, North Dakota, Texas, Arkansas???? A dump Truck??
I dont have many options so will work for anyone.

2 ))). Also this recruiter suggested I just do the CDL Express (3 Day CDL course, basically using their truck and study tests). I also have military hazlewood act to use for training but, again the record if company sponsored.

big suggestion .. You might look at getting your record sealed or expunged.. That way they never happened. The DUI in the US are off in 10 years, Canada forever. And you just may one day get that million dollar load to Canada and they refuse to let you in, as DUI is a felony to Canada. And if you do.. Carry a copy of the order to close your records. The past is the past. Learn from it and this should help you move on to the present, and hopefully get you a better job. As for the 3 day course. Sorry I'm not familliar with that. But basic schools will basicly teach you how to pass the CDL practical test and fill out log books. So you may be able to cram all of thatin 3 days.. And use all of your vets bennifits. You paid for them with your service and you might want to use them before they are taken away by our fine government.. I don't know what state your in. But I got mine done at record be gone. I found on the Internet. They aren't real cheap, maybe 1,500 but it gets rid of a past. Best of luck with what ever you do..
