I asked the guy If I could receive a couple weeks of training on the road and he said he could set it up, I'm confident with my backing and road abilities but still have 0 clue how to properly work a EDL and other road responsibilities like weigh scales, etc so I would never go over the road like you said without a week or two of more training until I'm fully confident.
sure the name of the company is Eisenberg transportation LLC. and he just confirmed it is a 1099 positionChinatown Thanks this. -

Paid for CDL on my own, already accepted the job offer but got cold feet about my pay scale and the location they wanted to send me which was in Ohio near train derailment which could still have negative side effects on the health of the residents including me. They reported it as "failure to follow comply to company policy" for potentially breaking the contract maybe? I'm still appealing it on my DAC report from both Schneider's end and DriverIQ because I am serious about my trucking career. I realized maybe this wasn't the best move on my end now and I should have stayed just for experiencebryan21384, Rideandrepair, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this.

So you didn't go to orientation? What contract? They send a job offer, but that's not a contract. If you got your CDL on your own, I don't see how they could have considered you under contract. Did you schedule orientation and then cancel, or did you schedule it and just not go without saying anything? Or did you go to orientation and leave? I'm only asking because if they're reporting inaccurate information, they need to clear that up for you asap.Last edited: Apr 8, 2023

They only have 1 truck and are based out on IN. I would stay away from that offer. You are setting yourself up for failure. You need training with a good w2 company. Chinatown posted up links to two different companies. Western Express and Sweet. Go look into them and put in an application. If you like flats, Western Express is a good place to start. If you want van, they have that too. Ive heard nothing bad about Sweet, They are smaller then Western. That may be a good fit for you.
Forget about the 1099 company. As an experienced driver, I would not go there. Again, you will set yourself up for failure. Im sure Chinatown will post up some more companies. Go apply right now for Western and Sweet. Chances are you will get a call on Monday or Tuesday. By the end of the week you could be off to a new job with them. Thats what I would do. Stay away from the 1099The Big T Thanks this.
