Remove all placards. We had a driver last summer who got nailed during "TDG safety awareness week" with an empty tank on the deck with worn out placards... 72 hours OOS for not calling dispatch to ask, or even bothering to ask the shipper why the placards were on it.
I think if it's a brand new tank (or otherwise) with pre-painted placards and paperwork to show it has never contained any DG, it's fine AFAIK.
Is this hazmat?
