So the trailer I'm hauling doesnt have the placard nest, only these flippies.

It was raining and the 1133's weren't sticking to the trailer at all, so I clipped them over the top of the flippies, with the plastic clear shield on top. It's secure and looks fine, but there is a bit of a weird hump in the middle, and I never see anyone else run like this, so I'm a bit worried.

Do y'all think DOT will give me problems over this? Or is it fine?

  3. Would you trust it if wind ripped across it?

As long as your 4 points of truck and secured.

Dot only stop ya if they are missing or mismatched.

Eh, I trust it more than a crappy sticker stuck to a dirty trailer in pouring rain. I'll probably redo them and stick them normal when the weather dries up, but I was just curious about the legality of my "invention".

I don’t think it’s illegal, but I wouldn’t trust those to stay put. If you do it, take a few extra.

Days like today is when Duck Tape comes in handy.
The wind will most likely leave you subject to the DOTs ticket book. I would not count on them staying intact for long .

    You're good. Roll on.

I usually wipe the trailer clean where I apply the stick on ones, and they hold up pretty good. But, if it's raining for days, at least one is going to tear, and need replaced.

They been chilling there just fine for 200 miles, those clips are pretty strong. Otherwise the wind would force them up and make the regular flippies flip randomly.
