It may not be in GA CDL manual but texting and driving a CMV is a federal prohibition so individual states' guidelines (or lack thereof) in that regard are superseded anyways.

Glad to hear you got this worked out. Hope you treat your CDL well from here on out.
As for the serious violations, as long as you aren't convicted, wouldn't see how they couldn't have fixed this easier than what it was. Again, not a lawyer, but that was how I read the manual posted earlier.bigNATURE Thanks this. -
Most of the time serious convictions are within the last 3 years. If it were me, I would call a lawyer in Georgia and ask him or her about it and see if they might help.

I doubt it. That's where the dummies that answer the phones probably report to work. The "secret" number probably went straight to a (very small) CDL-specific group that had the training to know better. May have even got farmed out to Motor Carrier Enforcement in downtown Atlanta, where they sort of need to know the rules about CDLs.
I've gone a few rounds with Georgia DDS over the past 33 years. Their picture is next to the definition of "government contempt for the people they serve."bigNATURE Thanks this. -
And the lesson learned from all this is it is not worth speeding or using your phone if you wanna keep your your profession. I'll admit I would push the limits all the time but I soon realized the gains were not worth the extra fuel I burned or the extra stress of that style of driving.

I know this is old, but is there anyway you could share the name of person you contacted. Im disqualified due to my insurance over lapping. -
Op hasn’t been here since 2015 so doubt he will see it
